It allows to categorize the particles according to their shape. Knowing the geometry of the particle, we can associate it with a specific wear mechanism. This type of analysis is a good tool for predicting impending failures. An elementary analysis of these particles allows us to identify the elements that could be subject to abnormal wear on the equipment.

LHA performs wear particle morphology with total ferrous particle content, counting and distribution of sizes in metallic and non-metallic particles in the range 4 μm – 100 μm.
